About Alpina Bio Ingredients

We are a Swiss wholesale distributor of low-glycemic organic sweeteners and dietary fibers. This page describes who we are, how we work, and what we do not do.

What we supply

A focused portfolio, designed for production

We stock fine and crystalline grade erythritol, high-purity stevia measured in steviol glycosides, 1:1 blends designed to match sucrose by mass, and fibers such as inulin and acacia fiber. Standard packaging is the 25 kg bag and the one-ton big bag. We do not sell in retail quantities.

A single reference does not suit all production types. Before recommending a reference, we discuss particle size, baking behavior, and storage with your technical team.

Delivery formats

25 kg

Standard bag for production lines and artisan bakeries.

1 ton

Big bag for manufacturers and continuous production volumes.

Pallet

Palletized order for scheduled deliveries by region.

Bakery · production

Artisan bakeries scaling up part of their production, manufacturers of bars, biscuits, and drink powders, and HoReCa kitchens reducing sugar without losing baking structure.

Who we work with

Three client profiles, one same requirement

Our conversation starts with your production, not our catalog. We discuss particle size, baking behavior, and storage before recommending a reference. A reference that suits a biscuit factory does not always suit a restaurant kitchen.

Artisan bakeries

We adjust the particle size to your kneading line and verify compatibility with your current recipe before proposing a 1:1 blend.

Food manufacturers

Bars, biscuits, and drink powders require batch-to-batch consistency. We provide the technical specification and certificate of analysis for every delivery.

HoReCa kitchens

Reducing sugar without losing texture in restaurant pastry often requires a blend, not a single product. We adapt the format to your order frequency.

Documentation as a working method

Every reference arrives with its proof

Every shipped reference is accompanied by a technical specification, a batch certificate of analysis, and the organic attestation of its supply chain. We refuse suppliers who cannot provide these documents at the batch level, even at a lower price.

25 kg / 1 t

Two formats cover the bulk of our shipments: the 25 kg bag for artisan lines and the one-ton big bag for continuous production. The same reference, two order scales.

Our limits, stated simply

What we guarantee, and what depends on a third party

A professional buyer prefers to know what is guaranteed and what depends on a third party. We do not issue organic certifications ourselves: we pass on those of our suppliers. We do not control upstream agricultural practices. And we do not offer a retail range.

Batch-level documents

Technical specification, certificate of analysis, and organic attestation for every shipment, without exception.

Scheduled deliveries by region

We do not promise a single lead time for all of Switzerland. Shipments are scheduled according to your region and volume.

Transmitted certifications

We do not certify ourselves. Organic labels come from our suppliers and are passed on with the supply chain.

For details on certifications and Swiss logos, see theQuality and certifications page.

Sustainable production

An organic supply chain, documented at every step

Our sourcing follows certified organic producers. We work with suppliers whose agricultural practices are documented, and we pass on their attestations rather than replacing them. What we do not control, we state.

How we price

Price per kilo, per big bag, and per ton

We price by the kilogram, by the pallet, and by the ton, based on a degressive logic rather than a single introductory price. A quote reflects your actual volume and the frequency of your orders. If your consumption does not justify the targeted tier, we will guide you toward the smaller format.

Per kilogram

Per kg

25 kg bag format, for artisanal bakeries and production trials. The price per kilo reflects the volume ordered.

Per pallet

Pallet

Palletized order for manufacturers planning by campaign. The rate reflects the regularity of orders.

Per ton

Per ton

One-ton big bag for continuous production. The best tier for manufacturers with stable volume.

Why this segment

A market built on old benchmarks

The Swiss market for reduced-sugar products relies on old benchmarks and organic manufacturers. Hermesetas remains associated with tabletop sweeteners, bio-familia AG has shifted toward higher-protein and lower-sugar formulations, and distributors like PRONATEC show how direct sourcing and traceability build trust.

We position ourselves alongside these players by providing raw materials in production volumes. Our role is not to compete with consumer brands: we supply bakeries, factories, and kitchens that formulate their own products.

Follow the sector

What we observe, and why

We follow ingredient trade shows like Health Ingredients Europe in Paris, where new generations of sweeteners and fibers are presented. We also observe downstream brands, from Birkengold to BioKing, because their formats and positioning signal what industrial buyers will ask for next.

This is about market intelligence, not imitation. Understanding what the market offers helps us anticipate our clients' questions and prepare the references they will be looking for in the following months.

Working with us

From your production to the first ton

You describe your production, your recipe constraints, and your volume. We verify availability and compatibility with your specification before providing a quote. A sample then allows you to test, and a first one-ton order confirms the choice.

01

You describe your production

Volume, recipe constraints, desired packaging format, and order frequency.

02

We verify availability and compatibility

We check the technical specification before issuing a quote, not after.

03

A sample, then the first ton

The sample validates production behavior; the first one-ton order confirms the reference.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver throughout Switzerland?

We deliver in Switzerland, but we do not promise a single delivery time for the entire country. Shipments are planned by region and according to your volume. Contact us to find out the schedule applicable to your canton.

What is the minimum quantity for a first order?

The standard format is the 25 kg bag. We do not sell in retail quantities. For a first order, we recommend a sample, then an order in the format that corresponds to your actual volume.

Do you provide the organic certifications yourselves?

No. We do not issue organic certifications: we pass on those of our suppliers, at the batch level, with the supply chain attestation. The Swiss certification logos appear on the Impressum page.

Why are your prices degressive?

A single price does not reflect the reality of logistics and storage. The rate depends on the volume ordered, the format (25 kg, pallet, big bag), and the regularity of your orders. A quote reflects these elements.
